With wings made from lightweight foam this aeroplane once assembled, does really fly very well.

Twisted up rubber band powers the propeller.
The kitset requires assembly, and although it says it's recommended for 5 years and up, younger children will certainly need some adult supervision and help. It took me quite a while to carefully assemble the plane in the photo and I last saw 5 years old about 5 decades ago.

You will need patience, care, common sense, but no tools.

Once assembled can be flown indoors or outdoors in still conditions.
The pack comes with instructions, but I have found a youtube video that shows assembly step by step.

These kits are a step up from the basic woodcraft construction kits that have much fewer pieces and are very simple construction.

Recommended for 8+ years and a super project for an adult to help a child with on a wet afternoon instead of watching telly. Contains small parts so should be kept away from small children.

3 rubber bands twisted up power the flapping mechanism and the lightweight wings flap to propel the bird through the air.

The bird once assembled should be flown initially indoors, but can be flown outdoors in still conditions.

The pack comes with so called instructions, but I have written an instruction PDF you can download as it's not easy to work out the printed Chinglish.
I'm pretty sure my instructions are ok as I had no pieces left over and it flys like a bird.

This makes a beautiful working model that would look at home anywhere. Please don't rush the assembly, but take your time. Interlocking parts should take around 4 hours to assemble.
